Looking at the ultra difficult but highly effective Base and Back Workout which goes a long way in justifying the P90X2 Cost.

One of the habits I am fond of with home fitness structured programs is finding parts from different regimens that fit together and creating my own approach.

At it’s essence, this one comes close to having it all and giving you an all-around body conditioning workout as there is.

The P90X2 Costitself runs on the high side if you include the step up of levels and the requirement that you purchase additional and more sophisticated equipment with the movement up each level. You can justify the P90X2 Cost with the principles and results from Base and Back. Basically it takes the two hardest aspects of the original P90X: pull-ups and the plyo jump training and combines them together. It is considered the sweatiest workout in the P90X2 program.

You’ll need to bring stamina, attention to excellent form, raw strength, muscle endurance, agility, balance, flexibility and a willingness to work hard. We talked about this in the context of Shaun T’s Insanity and also when discussing George St. Pierre’s RushFit: you want to endeavor to engage the large muscle groups of the core muscle and the big muscles of the legs. If you do that, you’ll sculpt your body faster and create greater stamina then if you simply decided to work on each muscle in a traditional weights workout.

So deciding on the legitimacy of the P90X cost means taking into account how effectively it requires you to work the large muscle groups that matter most in the most efficient amount of time. I would argue that if you consider these factors, P90X2 is well worth the price.
