There are styles of pizza that represent many of the major cities all across the United States. Whichever one is your favorite; there are many more regional and city-specific ingredients out there to try.

Just in the United States alone there are regional varieties and city varieties that make them special to the people that live there and the visitors too. If you're traveling anytime soon, all you have to do is find the right place that can offer you a taste of the country. In fact, an old school pizzeria can provide you with a specialty pie that is indicative of New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, New Orleans, Dallas, and San Francisco, for example. Which city will you dine on tonight?

Above there are six cities listed but you can find and create your own variety that you think represents your very own town. Natives of the east coast, wherever they live today, are familiar with the New York slice and the signature Philadelphia staple. On the east coast you can try a large New York slice covered in all of the classic toppings or you can try a slice in the style of a Philadelphia cheese steak that is sure to please. Then in the theme of the south you can venture to Tennessee, New Orleans or Miami. In order to represent Miami, you can try a Caribbean inspired Jerk chicken or a variety of recipes that are similar to the ingredients found in many island cuisines. For Louisiana, a tasty seafood pizza with a Cajun flare to it will definitely hit the spot. To represent the Midwest, though, a Chicago style deep dish is ideal, but a pie that incorporates some St. Louis or Kansas City style barbeque can definitely be a contender for your taste buds. And last but certainly not least is the pizza that best represents you, you can try a variety of breads, hard and soft cheeses, make up your own sauce and combine your own favorite toppings by baking it, grilling it, or making little pockets and frying it. You can try many different combinations of ingredients with your family and friends until you find one that reminds you of your very own hometown.

If pressed to say it, which city would you say has the best pizza? What are the qualities of each? They all offer a variety of meat, poultry, fish, dough composition and presentation that make them so tasty. It's not that one is better than the other, what sets them apart is how they represent the ingredients that are common in that port city and represent how the locals like to eat their pizza. Honestly, don't you just want them all?
