In my last entry on how to evaluate a good Providence Restaurant, I examined the initial phase of a dining experience from the importance of good restaurant name to the subtleties that exist in different kinds of menus.

In my last entry on how to evaluate a good Providence Restaurant,Good Service at a Providence Restaurant Articles I examined the initial phase of a dining experience from the importance of good restaurant name to the subtleties that exist in different kinds of menus. I went on to discuss the importance of prompt service, excellent bread quality and the way in which servers go about clearing your dishes. Furthermore, I discussed food presentation and how symmetry, plate style and a creative eye are a necessity when presenting a dish to make it look delicious. In this, my next entry, I will discuss one of my favorite parts of eating at any restaurant: The dessert.

Desserts are worthy of a whole series of articles and much has been written about them already. Also, the variety of desserts you can find at different restaurants in the Anaheim area can be staggering and overwhelming when their true scope is understood. The different types of desserts you may find at a given Providence Restaurant depend greatly upon the type of restaurant you are eating at. Most large chains will carry generic desserts such as a chocolate option, which could be a sundae or a piece of cake. The average chain restaurant will often have a cheesecake, key lime pie, a few ice creams and my personal favorite ingredient in a good dessert - chocolate. There are practically an infinite amount of different desserts that can be created with chocolate. The better the restaurant you go to, the better the desserts will be. I will admit that an ice cream sundae is pretty great no matter where it’s from, however; the complex and delicious options that finer restaurants offer for dessert make those generic desserts pale in comparison. A common chocolate dessert option you will find at a Providence Restaurant is a chocolate mousse cake. Sometimes the cake is entirely made of a semi solid mousse and sometimes there is a layer of chocolate cake underneath it. This is a great dessert but it has been over done to some extent.

Do not worry fruit lovers, I have not forgotten you. If I have had a lot of chocolate desserts in a short period of time, I will venture out and try something that is not chocolate oriented. One of the best desserts you can get in Providence is a fruit tart. The fruit tart is typically covered by berries, which are covered by a sugary jam-like substance. This is all placed on top of a short bread type cake and served chilled. If you have been eating too much chocolate, I strongly recommend you branch out and try a fruit tart. You will not regret it. In conclusion, I would like to stress that there are a tremendous number of delicious dessert options to be had at a Providence Restaurant. The real trick is picking the one you want most. In my next article, I will discuss more of my favorite things about dining in Providence.  Be sure not to miss the next article because it will be a good one.
