Pizza is a food that spans many different tastes, from old to young, rich to poor and on and on. Most individuals will tell you that their favorite pizza around is at the local Pizza joint but I can say with all honesty that the best Pizza in the world can be found at an Anaheim Restaurant.

Most individuals will tell you that their favorite pizza around is at the local Pizza joint but I can say with all honesty that the best Pizza in the world can be found at an Anaheim Restaurant.  In this series of articles, we will discuss the finer points of pizza, from the sauce to the cheese and of course the dough. Also, we will attempt to define what constitutes the “finest pizza” and how one may go about rating the aforementioned pie. Moreover, there are a lot of varied styles of pizza. Some of these differences are slight, such as those between pizza from the east and west coast, and some of these differences are dramatic, such as the difference between pizza from America and Italy. You may be surprised to find that among just a few Anaheim Restaurant choices, pizza types might vary in shape, size and ingredients.

Now, opinions will differ on the most important aspect of a pizza but it is my opinion that the three main ingredients (Sauce, dough, and cheese) are all equally important and for this reason I will address them in no particular order. Let’s take a moment to talk about sauce. The essence of a good sauce is in the tomatoes.  You want to use the freshest possible tomatoes when making sauce. Fresh from the vine tomatoes are always a vital ingredient when making a classic red sauce. Once you have acquired your deliciously ripe tomatoes, it is time to decide how to prepare your sauce. This is a huge point of contention between my food-enthusiast friend, Joey and me. You see, for some strange reason Joey loves pizza with a chunky tomato sauce.  The sauce he prefers is so chunky, that occasionally you will take a bite of pizza and taste only a whole tomato. I personally find that to be completely and utterly revolting. I do not enjoy raw tomatoes under any circumstances. In fact, I will only eat the processed varieties of tomatoes such as red sauce (not the chunky kind) and Ketchup.  As you can imagine, the kind of sauce I like on my pizza is thoroughly processed so that it is completely devoid of anything resembling a tomato chunk.

The ingredients for a classic Marinara sauce generally include (though are not limited to) tomatoes, onions, basil, salt and pepper. In addition, marinara sauce will often include either some amount of fresh garlic or a concentrated derivative of garlic. From there, all types of variations exist. Some people like to add peppers and others prefer cheeses. One favorite recipe of mine includes some creamy Alfredo sauce which gives the mixture a delicious pink hue. However, the pizza at an average Anaheim Restaurant will be primarily comprised of the basic recipe we discussed above. Thankfully, it is uncommon to find the chunky variety of sauce in the Anaheim area pizzerias because that is a style more typically seen on the west coast.
