Diabetes Type 2 Can Be Treated Without The Need For Drugs...

The latest disturbing report from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the USA,Treating Diabetes Type 2 Without The Need For Drugs Articles which reflects most of the westernised world, states that there has been an increase of 3 million diabetics in the last 2 years. In addition, around 57 million show early signs of diabetes (pre-diabetes), which, no doubt, puts them at high risk for this debilitating illness.

In all cases, diabetes is the body's inability to control and regulate blood sugar. It has been ranked as the 7th leading cause of death in the USA.

Diabetes type 2 is the inability of the pancreatic cells of the body to respond to high blood glucose levels when insulin is produced. Hence, the insulin is ineffective.

In all my research I can say without reservation or doubt that diabetes type 2 can be TOTALLY reversed without the need for drugs.

The first step

The first thing to realise is that for diabetes type 2, orthodox medicine's recommendation, the diabetic diet of high carbohydrate and low fat, is a recipe for disaster. It makes the condition even worse.

The excess glucose and calories from the high carbohydrate diet leads to fat storage. This means weight gain. Because of the high insulin in the response, the fat storage cannot be converted back to glucose and calories for the body to use. This means no weight loss. Furthermore, because of the continually high insulin responses due to frequently high carbohydrate intakes, the body's cells become even less sensitive and more ineffective in the uptake of glucose.

Side effects from the above include high blood pressure, retinopathy, tiredness, fatigue and prostate problems...

The low fat recommendation is not such a good idea either and can produce damaging effects.

The next step. The solution!

Now we have seen that the high carbohydrate exacerbates the diabetes type 2 condition, here are the answers.

1. Reduce the levels of carbohydrates

Chose carbohydrates with a lower glycemic index. That is, carbohydrates that converts into blood glucose relatively slower. More companies are now supplying information on glycemic index. Kicking out the sweets, biscuits and cakes and substituting with appropriate fruits and vegetables would certainly be a step in the right direction.

Eat more regular and smaller carbohydrate and food portions throughout the day instead of having "one-off " large main meals. This keeps your insulin levels lower.

2. Increase fat levels

There are many misconceptions about fat intake. Much of it is caused by deception from companies with their clever advertising and marketing methods of selling cheap and nasty health threatening fats and oils. A selection of margarines, deep-fried foods and cheap and nasty oils such as rapeseed, canola, soy and cottonseed oils are examples. Trans-fats should be avoided. Consumers may be totally unaware of the damage these fats and oils can do to the body.

Good fats help to promote the mechanism by which the body's cells take up glucose from the blood. Learn to discern these from the nasty ones. They include naturally occurring fats like omega-3 fatty acids, flax seed oils and fish oils...

Stays well hydrated with good clean mineralised water, exercise around half an hour a day, have a positive outlook on life and you can wave bye-bye to diabetes type 2 without the need for drugs.

Diabetes has been called a lifestyle disease. Just how committed are you to changing your lifestyle?
