Are you leaving a "green" footprint on the earth? If not,Solar Panels - 10 Advantages to Using Them Articles let's look at solar panels as a way to do that.

We all realize how valuable the sun can be as a source of heat and energy. With rising utility costs, many people are turning to the sun to heat, cool and light their home or business.

Here are ten great advantages for using solar panels:

1.They produce a cleaner energy source.
2.They are more cost-effective than using other sources.
3.It does your heart good knowing you are living green.
4.They come with a tax incentive.
5.The sun's energy is renewable, that is, the sun comes out on many days.
6.Solar panels run practically noise free.
7.The sun's energy puts off no pollution. No harmful gases, etc. are sent out into our air.
8.They don't require much maintenance to keep them running smoothly. They will last a very long time with only a yearly cleaning to maintain their efficiency.
9.They are relatively simple to install.
10.The sun's power doesn't create CO2 emissions. Scientists claim that CO2 is contributing overall to global warming.

As I've mentioned before, the sun is a renewable source of energy. And we can be assured it will never burn out for a very long time if ever! Just because it doesn't shine every day, solar panels still allow their users to harness some energy for usage at night or on days the sun doesn't shine.

The sun is a pretty big deal and it's estimated that it "generates more than 10,000 times the amount of energy the entire world uses yearly." That's a lot! This is all basically free energy too.

Many rural areas do not have easy access to normal electrical or oil supplies. Using the sun as an alternative power source greatly benefits the people who live and work in these areas.

Some people claim, since there has been not much governmental funding to research this free energy, that using solar panels is too expensive. Have you ever heard about how huge the first computers were in size? No one could have ever afforded them. But, when people began to realize their benefit, even though they were a little bit more expensive in the beginning, things began to catch on, and, well, the rest is history!

The point I'm making is that if more people would use solar panels as a source of free energy, maybe our government will catch on and invest in solar research much more than they already do.

It's true, they may cost you a little bit more at the beginning compared to oil or a heat pump, but over time you will delightfully discover they will save you a ton of money.

My question to you is, why would you want to pay for something on a regular basis that you can get for free?
