Gal Gadot starrer will be the first-ever feature film to be streamed in the 4K format on HBO Max.

Apparently,HBO Max will Stream “Wonder Woman 1984” in the 4K Format Articles they will also run it on HDR 10, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision.

This year’s Christmas has so little things to be happy about, and the release of the DCEU’s upcoming film Wonder Woman 1984 is one such reason. However, the fact of the matter is that come December 25th, the film will officially become the first-ever movie to get a 4K streaming option on HBO Max.

Now, given that you are a rich guy or someone with a home theater, you will be able to watch the film with an additional quality, which will be boosted by the HDR 10, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision option, which will also be made available by HBO Max.

Patty Jenkins herself has confirmed this via a tweet.

She wrote on Twitter that she is pretty upbeat to share the news that Wonder Woman 1984 will be the first-ever featurette on HBO Max to get a streaming option in 4K Ultra HD, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby Vision. She added that she is eager for the audience to finally see her work.

Jenkins remarked that the film would arrive on Christmas Day both in the theaters and on HBO Max’s OTT platform (only for the audience present in the United States). She advised all the cinephiles to buy the biggest TV screen they can possibly find.

The devices that have been given permission to stream the upcoming tentpole are Apple TV 4K, Amazon Fire TV Cube, Amazon Fire Stick 4K, 4K Fire TV Edition smart TVs, AT&T TV, Chromecast Ultra, and few Android TV devices as well.

The stellar names that are missing from the list are Microsoft Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There is a reason for it. Although HBO Max is present in the consoles, they do not support 4K videos. However, Warner Media has promised that gaming consoles will get that additional technology in the models that will be released in 2021.

Another thing you need to be aware of is that HBO has planned to introduce more movies in 4K format in 2021. It is positive news since the platform has severely lacked in that domain and is way behind its competitors. The content that is available on HBO Max does not get streamed in the format beyond 1080p, while its competitors such as Netflix have made the 4K available on their platform for many years.

Wonder Woman 1984 is one such tentpole that has truly suffered from a series of delays. The movie was ready for the theatrical release last year itself. However, due to clashes with some other tentpoles, and then due to the pandemic, the movie had to be pushed back. It has now ultimately found a spot on the Christmas Day of 2020 (pushing “Dune” to October 2021).

The movie was never meant to be released on OTT platforms so soon; however, due to the non-functioning of theaters in some areas of the United States, Warner Bros. had altered its plans a little bit.

Wonder Woman 1984, starring Gal Gadot, will be the first movie in the DCEU timeline after the release of the 2019 film Shazam.
