Once upon a time you could entice people to sign up for your newsletter without offering any type of offer. All it took was your great content and you were well on your way to a captive audience. But an email address is "online currency" and the best way to encourage your prospects to offer you theirs is to provide them something they really want.

How do you do it? You need a Fabulous Free Offer.

I'm often asked two questions,12 Ways to Attract Clients With Your No Cost Offer Articles "How do I know what to offer?" and "What should I offer?".

To answer the first, you must know what will trigger your client to buy. What is the main problem they have that you know you can solve? Once you know what that is, you need to have a Call to Action such as an Opt In and Sign Up box on your website to capture their name and email in exchange for your wonderful offer to solve their problem.

"But what exactly should I give and how much information should it include?"

There are a variety of ways you can serve your prospects so they can get to know you and see if they like what you offer. But before you do that you must first, have a gripping Call to Action for a title of your offer. I often recommend doing some research, go to a variety of sites, check out their free offers and see how you can model them for your giveaway. Chances are that if the Call to Action is good enough for you it will be good enough for your prospects too. Then simply twist it into your own words to match what you will offer.

With regard to what to offer, here are 12 ideas to get you started:

1. A 2-5 page report on a relevant topic in your field-usually a hot topic

2. A checklist

3. A teleseminar of a program you once offered

4. A Video Series of "How tos"

5. A "Top 10" Recommendations lis

6. A compilation of 5 of your best blog posts

7. An audio recording/Mp3 of "How to" tips

8. A workbook

9. A multi part eCourse

10. An assessment

11. A discount for one of your products

12. An Mp3 or recording of you being interviewed-send a CD to up the juicy offer

Assignment:

If you don't currently have a Fabulous Free Offer or the one you have is getting low opt in's then take a look at what you have now and see how you can enhance it. Don't be afraid to spice it up. Make the title attractive, the content good and don't forget to include a Call to Action (how they can learn more about you), within the offer.
