Most people will agree that the whole point of attending trade show is to attract costumers to buy something from you. If you do at least half-decent promotion, you should get some sales and profit.

The most important aspect of promoting your product or service is building relationship with your costumers and communicating with them. That task can be hard sometimes, but it gets more and more easier as you practice.

Trade shows are popular because you can talk to your costumers face to face. That gives you more promotional power. There are many things you can do, but here are some of them...

Always have your contact or business card with you. You never know when you'll need one, especially during trade shows.

When you see your costumer for the first time, always ask for name, company name, phone number and e-mail. That is important to build relationship. First of all, you will be able to contact that person using those details, and as second; that person will feel that he is important to you.

Further on, during your conversation, you should get a picture if that person is really interested in your product or service. So it would be good idea to actually take a note of that. Just write down what were you talking about next to contact details. Also you could rate his interest from 1 to 5. That way you will know who to contact first after trade show ends.

The point here is to gather as much details about your potential buyers as you can. All those details will help you make sales. But even if that doesn't happen, you will probably spread the word about your business.

I hope you've found those tips helpful and informative.
