Importance of Listening

Communication is very important for everybody. It's the way people interact, it's the base of everything else. Humans are social beings, and that's giving communication and interaction additional value. Without communication friendships are impossible. Communication is base of every relationship. Friendships are very important part of life. The problems can be easyer to solve if you share it with someone.

Of course, interaction is two-way activity. That basically means that if you are talking, the other person should listen. And of course, if the other person is talking, you should listen. You will be able to decide what kind of relationship you want to build with someone.

That seems simple, that's where most people get lost. They don't pay enough intention to others. They don't listen others good enough to be able to fully understand them. And this where most problems come from - misunderstanding.

To improve yourself, you need to first improve your listening skills. That way you can get much more than just by talking. Listen to someone interactively. Ask questions, stay on topic... Respect for you in other person's eyes will grow, and not only that - you will learn something valuable.

Excellent way to learn how to listen properly should be joining some kind of community - online or offline doesn't matter. The thing is, people usually join those kind of communities only when they need something. And that is just plain wrong. You should join social communities only when you want to actually contribute and get involved into real conversations, exchanging opinions....

By listening to others, you can learn a lot about them. After some time, you will learn how to behave and how to get them for yourself. You will learn how to become a leader because you will understand that the way you treat other people is the way you earn respect.
