You can use your creativity with candy canes too by setting them in shape of vase. It is quite easy that even your seven eight-year-old sons can do this. For this, you just need a small pony tumbler glass, and glue candy canes on its outer wall. Once fixed, tie a red ribbon around the cane to make it look more alluring and sweet.
