Below are some of the DIY bath products and skin care products that you can make with just a few easy-to-get ingredients.
The first ones that we are going to talk about are bath products.
Bath bags. Bath bags are very important in making sure that the muscles are well-relaxed and well-soothed during the bath. You can make your own by putting a good amount of thyme in a cloth. It is better if you use dried thyme because it is stronger and has better effects. You can also add oats to the cloth is your want. Then tie the cloth is such a way that it looks like a big tea bag. Put in the water where you are going to bath and enjoy the experience.
Bath softener. You can do this in two ways using oatmeal. You can either put the oatmeal in cheesecloth or make a bath bag or you can just directly put the oatmeal in the water. Oatmeal is very effective in softening the water and the skin. If you put it directly in water, it will not only soften the skin but it will help in exfoliating the skin as well.
Let us now go to the skin care products that you can make yourself.
Pore cleanser. You can do this with just hot water and a bowl. Put boiling water in a bowl and put your face right above it. The steam from the water will open your pores and will cleanse them. You can do this 4 times a week or as often as you want. It is advisable to create at least one feet distance between your face and the hot water to avoid burning yourself. You can also add some fresh or dried herbs, as well as essential oils, in the water for more stimulating effects. For instance, lavender is known for its calming effects. It is good to use it before bedtime.
Scrub. It is very important to exfoliate the skin every now and then to remove the dead skin cells and to promote regeneration of new skin. You can make your own effective and safe skin scrubber with the use of oatmeal. You can use ground oatmeal mixed a little amount of water. Get a handful of the mixture and apply it on your face. Gently scrub your face and you will feel the relaxing and exfoliating effects of the oatmeal bits. If you do not like oatmeal, you can also use sugar. Sugar mixed with a little amount of water is also a great exfoliating product.
Toner. It is also very important to tighten the pores of the skin because tighter pores make the skin look younger and fresher. You can do this with egg whites. You can either use the egg whites fresh from the eggs or you can also beat them a little to create some froths. Apply the egg whites on your face and leave it there for at least 10 minutes. After washing, you will feel that your skin is smoother and appears tighter.
