When you market or sell your property, you need to have the best possible visual impact. This goes hand in hand with home staging. Photos are one the most important marketing tools available.

The photographs you take must have some consideration put into them. A good selection of photographs will enhance your property’s chances of selling, helping you make the rightmove.

Assuming you have done your home staging, the photo of front of the house should not include surrounding pavements and roads. Your driveway should be clear of vehicles.

Perhaps take a photo from a low position, emphasising the size of your house.

Your garden must be presentable, clear of toys/pets/family members and of course neat and tidy. Do not to shoot into the sun with outdoor photos.

As for the inside, every room should be photographed, make the rooms brighter by opening curtains/blinds or having lights switched on.

You can pick up on special features such as fireplaces and staircases.

The photos you have should be cropped or trimmed and have high resolution.

The amount of photos is critical, 1, 2 or 3 is not enough; you need double figures if possible, a variety to introduce the potential buyer to your home.

You are photographing not objects, but settings and environments; a wide angle lens camera is preferable.

Remember, house hunters looking on the internet will be trawling through hundreds of properties so yours needs to make an immediate impression.
