5 Easy NLP Language Patterns You Need to KnowLanguage patterns are essentially the way that you convey your message to other people. The way that you communicate with others is extremely important to achieving your goals and becoming more successful. With your words and the way that you say them, you can influence the way that other people perceive your intent. NLP teaches a variety of different language patterns that can be studied and then applied to the way that you interact with others, and you can learn some of these NLP techniques online so that you can begin using them immediately. 1: Cognitive Qualifiers The first language pattern is called a qualifier. It is basically a word that you will use that will take the attention away from the sentence and make it seem as though it is true. Amazingly, happily, fortunately, surprisingly, naturally, and other similar words are all examples of cognitive qualifiers that you can use to establish your credibility with a particular message that you are expressing. 2: Space Shifting Shifting space in the mind of your audience can help you effectively transition from one idea to the next. You can shift space by using phrases like above all that, behind that, beneath that, along side that, instead of that, etc. Once you position these phrases effectively, you can shift the conversation and give your audience the feeling that they are moving to a different space while the conversation unfolds. 3: Time Shifting If you are talking about a specific event that occurred, you may want to expand by giving more information on the subject. To transition to a different period in time you will use phrases like in the future, looking back, finally, accelerate, presently, 4: Claiming Fact or Truth To claim fact or truth in a given situation, you will probably naturally reach for words like actually, absolutely, proven, naturally, obviously, and genuinely. These words indicate that you are speaking the truth, and that makes them more powerful when you are attempting to persuade someone to see something your way. 5: Power Words When you use words like discover, realize, notice, uncover, you are giving the person that you are speaking to direction on what they should do next. These power words can help you promote awareness and establish authenticity. These language patterns are called presuppositional categories, and they essentially assume that something is true. Presuppositions are integral in learning how to effectively apply NLP to your life so that you can achieve your desired results. The 9 presuppositions in NLP help replace limiting beliefs with new empowering beliefs so that you can realize your dreams and meet your goals. With
