Learn how you will become smart & successful

You can always be successful in your job, in achieving your goals only when you are optimistic. You may ask, what do I mean by “Be Optimistic”? By being optimistic, I mean to be positive, think positive. You should always have a positive bent of mind in any work that you do. Because a positive bent of mind inculcates positive feelings within you to achieve your goal. With the positive feelings, our willpower increases to do the job perfectly.

Let us understand this by taking an example of how to be optimistic, or a positive thinker.

Say, your child has done something wrong. Now, how would you react to him in a normal situation? You would scold him, shout at him, ‘Why did you do this’, ‘You shouldn’t have done this’, ‘Don’t do it again’, ‘This is not right’. Have you ever wondered how many times you used the word ‘No’ to your kind in a day? Well! According to a recent research done, parents use the word “No’ to their children, obviously for various reason for about 143 times a day. Now imagine your kid’s mind is grilled with this word for about 10 years starting from the age of 5 to 15, what would be the affect on his mindset? You have already instilled in his mind the pessimism (negative thoughts) a million times by saying 'No' all these years right from his childhood. Instead, you should have said, ‘We will do this work this way’. This way you are making him become an optimistic person (a positive thinker) right from his childhood.

Let us take another example wherein, a friend of yours who is in trouble comes to you for advice. Now normally, we solace him by saying, ‘Don’t worry, brother’, ‘No problem, man’. Inadvertently you are feeding his subconscious mind with negative words like worry & problem. He will start wondering ‘hey why my buddy says, don’t worry?, no problem?, I’m worrying? I’m facing problem? Instead we could console him by saying, ‘Let’s work it out this way’, ‘You will certainly come out it in flying colors’. This way, you are comforting him with optimism or positive thoughts to reach his goal.

‘Failures are Stepping stones to Success’. Now, when you accept failure, know that the goal you have set out to achieve will materialize through the dynamic willpower. As, rightly said, “Where there is a will, there is a way”. Nothing can stop you from achieving your goal in this situation. You will certainly emerge out as a winner with the help of sheer willpower that is within you.

A Chinese proverb says ‘committing a mistake is not a mistake’ repeating it is a mistake’.

Thoughts can be incredibly powerful tools, and if you are willing to implement this divine gift of positive thinking or be optimistic in any situation, then you are sure to attain your goal. If you stick to a certain thought with dynamic willpower, it assumes a tangible outward form.

Now there are chances that negative thoughts may crop up in your mind at this stage. (Eg.) What if you don’t achieve your goal this time too, Lack of confidence etc. So, here you need to curb or freeze the negative characteristics inherent within you which are in the form of habits, lack of strong willpower, lack of confidence, hesitance and wrong attitude towards life, in general. You have within you the power to accomplish everything you want, the willpower. 

The root cause of failure in life is lack of concentration – do not hoard yourself with ideas, concepts and strategies all at once in the very hope to succeed. This can lead to confusion and chaos. Instead begin working on the road to success slowly and be consistent in your goal setting scheme.

Focus your attention on one thing at a time, and do not allow your mind to go in a state of ‘over drive’. There is a scientific way of utilizing concentration, and the magic word here is to keep calm, be patient while you perform all your duties with optimism in order to achieve your goal. As rightly said, “Patience Always Pays”.

Do not rush and create chaos, but rather methodically and meticulously focus and centre your whole mind on whatever you undertake-your goal, and the important thing is to keep your mind flexible and open to all possibilities in order to be optimistic.

Once you know that you are genuinely on the right tracks and on the path to achieving your goal, do take care as far as time management is concerned. It is often very easy to get involved with a project so much so that you can get carried away in perfecting whatever it is that you are doing. And thereby spoil your health. You must prioritize your work and above all respect and honor the value of time – learn to manage your time well and your life! As time once lost, never comes back.
