However, when managing workplace stress, you also have to cut out a lot of your own self-defeating habits. These are bad habits that could be making your workplace stress just that much worse. The first thing that you need to do is to cut out unrealistic goals. If you try and make yourself reach goals that can not be reached, then you are going to come down on yourself. You are going to see yourself, time and time again, fall short of your expectations and this causes stress. Not only that, but try to think positive. Cut out all of your negative thinking. If you think that everything that can go wrong will go wrong, then it will. Take time to enjoy the small goals that you reach. It will help you to feel better about yourself.

Overall, when managing workplace stress, there are two things that have to change. Your job has to be willing to work with you, and you have to be willing to work with yourself. When you are willing to work with yourself, then you will notice a big improvement in your overall attitude. Tell yourself you can make things happen, and try not to set your overall goals too high.
