Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone was super supportive of everything you wanted to do!

The truth is however that not everyone is supportive all of the time.  And some people seem to make it their life's mission to thwart your efforts at every opportunity.

Why do they do that?  And what,Manifesting Tip: How To Deal With Unsupportive People Articles if anything can you do about it?

The weird thing about unsupportive people is that very often they think they are being supportive.  Like a parent who punishes a child "for their own good," unsupportive people often think they have your best interests in mind.  The thing is that they don't see the world from your perspective.  Instead they see the world from their own perspective, and then go about trying to project that perspective on to everyone around them (including you).

When you realize this then you also understand that unsupportive people usually aren't out to get you.  They are simply offering input from their own experience and view of life.  So what can you do about it, especially if you're stuck with those people?

One of the easiest and most effective things you can do is to stop expecting to receive support from those people.  They've already proven they can't give it (or can't give it in the way you need).  If you continue to demand support from them, especially support in a certain way, it will just lead to tension and frustration.  No one needs that.

Instead find people who will support you in the way you need.  This may mean meeting new people, joining a group, or even getting professional help.  But once you find people who are supportive your attitude, and success rate, will improve immeasurably.

Also realize that you may get different kinds of support from different people.  One person may be excellent at offering support for your healthy lifestyle efforts but may be very unsupportive when it comes to relationships.  Be ok with getting different types of support from different people.

And finally, the wider network of support you build the more supported you'll feel overall.  It's much better to have 5 people you can call on a certain issue than one who isn't answering the phone.

Here's to your excellent support team :)
