Have you thought about renting a townhouse style apartment home? If your looking for more room than a regular apartment rental, this may be perfect for you. In a townhome you should find the amenties and features that you might find in the regular apartment home on the premises with the addition of a private garage.

Features In A Townhouse

When you first set foot in a townhome you will immediately notice that  this is much different than your normal apartment home.  Outside you will see that these are more like blocks of houses lined up in rows. Many of these will share an attached wall. Others will have exterior walls that are not connected.   And floor-plans will differ from standard one and two beroom apartment homes. 

Also the majority of townhomes will have two or three floors. This gives it more of a feel of a free standing home. Usually there are 2 or 3 bedrooms, several bathrooms, and even a patio or deck in the rear. If your lucky enough, you will have your own personal garage.

Townhome Advantages

You will find several advantages when it comes to renting townhomes.  The biggest pro will be the extra space. Remember that it will come at a cost. You can expect square footage to range anywhere from 1000 to 1600 square feet. The majority of people will find that the space is sufficient for their lifestyle.

If your townhome does not share a common wall with your neighbor then you will feel as though your in your own free standing house. You will also have a small yard in the rear and a private entrance into your new place.

Disadvantages

If you share a common wall with your neighbors you may be able to hear them. You may also have to keep noise down in your own home during the late hours of the night too.  Also you may not be able to decorate the interiors to your liking.
