Kilts are one of the most famous Scottish items. Because of them Scotland became famous too. What's important kilt isn't typical male piece of cloth, it can also be worn by women. Kilts have gained people love many centuries ago but from a few years now they are also very popular amongst celebrities.

One of the most famous fans of kilts is Sean Connery,Be like celebrity in a kilt! Articles fabulous and famous person, talented actor, loved by thousands of women. James Bond role gave him an opinion of one of the most handsome men in the world. This Scottish actor and producer has also won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. And all these years kilt was his best friend!

But Sean Connery is not the only famous Scot who wears kilt in Hollywood. We have here also James McAvoy, Ewan McGregor or Gerald Butler. Kyle McLachlan, well-known from "Twin Peaks", even gave his support in Dressed to Kilt Charity Fashion Show organised to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project. As it comes to girls we can name here Victoria Beckham or Paris Hilton.

Many people also connect kilt with Mel Gibson, who starred in "Braveheart". He played a main role in this movie and was wearing kilt as William Wallace but his acting made this piece of cloth even more important to people and worn more often at the street. It was very important step for the history of kilt - it is not typical outfit and without appropriate matching and attitude it can make a terrible impression.

Of course there are always doubts amongst men, what to wear under the kilt and questions like 'is it OK for me to wear a skirt" still happens. The answer is of course "yes", because kilt isn't a skirt. The truth like this can be heard from many 100 percent real men whose passion are Scottish Highlands and Scottish tradition.

Most men also say that kilt is very comfortable and warm piece of cloth and there is no worry that tights would be needed. Also a real Scot usually doesn't have underwear underneath his kilt. Did David Hasselhoff wear anything when he lifted his kilt in front of people before the audition to Scottish edition of "British Got Talent"? Who knows...
