That’s right,Israel needs your support – give it to her! Articles Israel needs your support, now more than ever. The Israeli economy is in poor condition and in dire need of outside help. Poverty has been steadily rising, and statistics show that more than 17% of families live under the poverty line.

I bet you’re wondering what you can possibly do to improve the situation. After all, Israel is just so far away, so untouchable, and so problem-ridden that surely no one person can make even the slightest difference. Well, I’m here to tell you that is simply not true There are many things you can do to help your fellow man in Israel.

Here’s a small list of things you can do. I bet you can think of many more.

Buy Israeli products.

With the Israeli economy the way it is, go out of your way to support Israeli vendors and businesses by purchasing items made in Israel. Even in your local grocery store you will be able to find Israeli products by companies such as Telma, Osem, Neviot and more. The web is a great place to buy Jewish gifts for your friends and loved ones, especially if you are looking for unique gifts that you won’t find anywhere else.

Although shipping times may take slightly longer, since orders are shipped from Israel, the knowledge that you have supported Israel in your small way will uplift you.

Here is a great website for unique Jewish gifts from Israel.

Pray.

Prayer is one of the most ancient forms of worship. Israel needs you prayers, so give them to her unabashedly, wholeheartedly. Pray to God to bring peace upon the land. Pray for food for the poverty striken, and enlightenment for our enemies. Your prayers do make a difference. Remember: God is in ultimate control. Miracles can happen now just as they did for Moses in the desert.

Give Tzedaka.

Your compassion and charity can make a big difference to people living in the Holy Land. Pay homeage to the sons of God brave enough to live their lives in Israel despite great danger and hardships. Ask your pro-Israeli friends to donate as well, as every little bit counts. This might not prevent terrorist attacks or riots in Jerusalem, but you can rest assured that it will go to a good and just cause.

Jewish Charities Online is just one place you can visit for a list of worthy causes.

Experience Israel.

Do not be afraid to visit Israel. Come en-mass, bring your family, take a vacation. Israeli tourism has practically disappeared – exactly what the terrorist want! Walk where Abraham and Isaac, Jacob and Jesus walked, and interact with the population. You will find them to be a friendly and fun-loving people, although at times they can be short-tempered.

Israel, in and of itself, is an experience. Finally you will come to realise that what you see on the daily news about violence and suicide bombers, is but a tiny part of the real Israeli experience. Life in Israel is about God and beauty, and the only way you will ever come to realise that is by actually being there.

Be United.

Support your fellow Jew in every endeavor, and make it your mission to stamp out injustice against world Jewry. Israel was created as a safe haven for the Jews of the world, a place where we can all live united, in our own homeland. Abroad, anti-Jewish sentiment has been on the rise, and so we must apply the same principles as Israel.

Don’t walk by when a fellow Jew is in need. Give them a hand. An arm even, if you can. The Almighty helps those who help themselves, and so we as a people need to unite in order to help ourselves in this common goal.
