Finding the best bike for your child requires a little research and some smart shopping. Firstly, you want to figure out what size would be ideal for your son or daughter. For toddlers ages 3-6, a 12-inch bike is recommended. Kids between the ages of 7 and 12 can pick from either 14-inch or 16-inch bikes depending on how tall, strong and skilled they are. Teens prefer 18-inch bikes over 20-inch models usually because they are slightly lighter and more their size. When we talk about high school age, then you can consider a 20-inch cycle.

If your child is decent at riding BMX then you’ll also want to spring for a model that has plenty of nice features.
