Buying BMX Bikes for Kids

Finding a good BMX bike  for your son or daughter is not always as easy as it sounds. On one hand, you have so many different models and brands of bikes to choose from; but then again, with so many to pick between, how can you determine which ones are the best and which ones are not good investments?

BMX bikes come in all shapes and sizes for kids and there are over a dozen reputable brand names to consider like Haro, Diamondback, Redline and GT just to name a few of the more popular companies out there. Each brand has several models on their roster and each one is slightly different than the other, while some of them are completely unique and stand out from the rest. All of the major companies focus on selling bikes for boys, however, many of them also have a few models for girls as well.

Finding the best bike for your child requires a little research and some smart shopping. Firstly, you want to figure out what size would be ideal for your son or daughter. For toddlers ages 3-6, a 12-inch bike is recommended. Kids between the ages of 7 and 12 can pick from either 14-inch or 16-inch bikes depending on how tall, strong and skilled they are. Teens prefer 18-inch bikes over 20-inch models usually because they are slightly lighter and more their size. When we talk about high school age, then you can consider a 20-inch cycle.

If your child is decent at riding BMX then you’ll also want to spring for a model that has plenty of nice features. Getting one with a durable frame and fork is also a good idea so that the cycle can last longer and save you money in the long run. By keeping these simple tips in mindComputer Technology Articles, you shouldn’t have much trouble finding the best BMX bikes for your child no matter how old they are.
