The Origin of 2012 VANS Brand

There are lots of famous shoes of VANS brand, and SK8-Hi is especially outstanding. As for many skateboard enthusiasts, SK8-Hi shoes style is a fashion. On its brand history, VANS has showed its strength in a complete way.


Vans' shoe styles, such as Chukka, ERA, Mountain Edition, Slip-on and Old Skool were all well-known shoes of Vans, and they have been introduced by SK8-HI&OLD SKOOL. SK8-Hi; however, is always the first choice for people if they intend to purchase Vans. It can be completely attributed to the culture of skateboard as for the birth of SK8-Hi. In addition, SK8-Hi was originally designed for skateboard enthusiasts. In later time, it was chosen by harajuku brands because they specially seek to reach cooperation, therefore, there was the introduction of SK8-Hi to the circle of fashion. OLD SKOOL was a low barrel shoe style, which was super retro. Respectiely along with SK8-HI; it has been the champion in the skateboard market of low and high tubes. Its distinctive place has been highlighted by its fashionable matching colors.
At present, Anti-Hero, Alien Workshop and Baker are three top skateboarding companies. Moreover, they keep on supporting skateboarding in the environment that looks like a battlefield. VANS and these three companies have jointly launched the cooperation shoe style aiming at the professional skateboarders who were sponsored by them together. These special shoe styles not only can show each professional player's individual style, but also can endow it with different spirits because of each professional player's personality and individual style at the same time. In 1966, which was a age with lots of world youth, VANS was set up in America. VANS brand was founded by Paul Van Doreen and his other three brothers who were Jim Van Doreen, Serge Delia and Gordy Lee. At that time, they were unwilling to be asked for excessive profit by retailers when resold their production, so they set up the first shop to specially sell their own products in Anaheim, California. The jewel grain was the pattern of the first pair of VANS shoes. And soon afterwards, Paul added the straight line pattern to the soles, which made the soles more affixed so as to prevent slipping. In addition, a lot of motorcycle riders also liked to put it on due to its strong stability on soles.
In 1976, there was a rise of the skateboarding surge. At that time, two skateboarding enthusiasts called Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta asked Paul to make them a pair of skateboarding shoes with double colors. VANS turned out to be a brand exclusively for skateboarders from that time on. In 1982, there was a popular comedy called "Fast Times at Ridge Mont High", and Sean Penn played the role of Jeff Spicoli who was a skateboard expert in the film. In the film, he has worn the VANS shoes, so VANS brand became more popular. After three years, the signature shoes called Slip-On that of VANS officially bornScience Articles, and it was popular all over California.
