eBook Readers – a new perspective of reading

The history of books begins from a very long time ago. Ever since 7th-4th millennium BC we can talk about writing texts. So reading passes from a real book written on some material to the use of electronic devices. Ebook readers are such kind of devices which can consist of many books in digital form. In 2009 electronic books take a new perspective of reading. Then were produced the first modern ebook readers. To this very day there is constant progress. Thing that changes with each model are the production materials, size and type of screen, memory size, software, possibility to open new and different ebook formats, variety of features and functions, etc. Nowadays most of the ebook readers have wireless connection - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G. They have different sizes of internal storage, e.g., 1 to 4GB. Also ebook readers are provided with card reader slot and replaceable battery. Some of these devices are with touch screen and some of them have web browsers. Ebook readers are very convenient to hold and use. These electronic devices are the new way of reading books. The advantages of ebook readers are related to the fact that there are millions of digital books. Also many of them are free to download. The important things when choosing a model is to consider what the purpose of using it is. For example ebook readers' holder can take a variety of books when going on a vacation. It is easy to transport and by using the wireless network, digital books can be transferred between two and more ebook readers.
