A study conducted by Gartner recently revealed that the trend of using smart phones and tablets to watch professional video presentations is on the rise. This has been pressurizing companies and business owners to think about managing and supporting such devices. This research has revealed that around 60 percent information workers will start using content apps for their smart devices by the end of 2015. Gartner vice president and famous analyst Whit Andrews claims that support and development of content management apps would cause dejection among business owners who are always afraid of low adoption and dissatisfaction.

The increasing use of smart phones and tables in professional sector makes the need of video support very essential both at external as well as internal level. However,Use of Content Related Apps Will Rise by 2016 - Gartner Articles this is not the only issue that would trouble the business owners. The use of multiple devices like smart phones, tablets, laptops from different brands will also be a worrisome factor for many enterprises. Gartner has predicted that by the end of next year, majority of the US based corporate and businesses (around 90 percent) will start supporting corporate apps for multiple devices like smart phones, laptops, tablets etc. This research firm has also predicted that in near future, we will witness the arrival of more extensive and comprehensive hybrid devices.

Amidst this, it will become extremely important for business owners and Federal agencies to develop strategies to support videos on smart devices, regardless of whether they are personal or company owned. Experts say that you have to motivate users to use a smart device of their choice. They predict that the lack of user engagement will bring around 50 percent of collaborations and content strategies to an end by 2016. Thus, experts lay stress on adopting mobiles and tablets for watching videos and professional presentations despite knowing that this is not the best approach at all.

There is no hesitation in accepting that enterprise mobility allows employees and consumers to connect to each other or to a company's network instantly from any location and even to weaker networks. Business owners may also have to tackle another worrisome factor in the future. They will have to search for solutions to enable time shifted consumption and variable bandwidth because, often employees and users will not have the same Internet speed to watch videos effortlessly. This set-up has multiple advantages despite being disliked by many, as it does not allow multiple users to watch the same video simultaneously. Consumption of a particular video stream increases drastically when targets are given the opportunity to choose their own time to watch it. This consumption further increases when employees can watch shorter, individual portions with specific and compact messages.

To tackle this situation, Gartner suggests business owners to choose mediums that are capable of supporting all video formats used in a business. More and more businesses are focussed towards owning OS developed by Apple and Google while, some prefer operating systems of other brands as well. Businesses have to be very careful and analyze viewership before selecting devices to support and advise consumers to use.

CONCLUSION

No doubt, smart devices and tablets will play a major role in shaping up the future not only for the consumers but also for enterprises. Therefore, everyone will have to plan a careful strategy about introducing them in our lives to avail their maximum benefits.
