Classic Andalusia car tour

Malaga is an ideal starting point for a classical tour of Andalusia. Especially in the winter months you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes and interesting places completely; temperatures are mild, the sun shines warm, but not burning hot. Those who want to see from this country a little more than the beaches on the Costa del Sol, need only a little more than one week, a car and spirit of discovery

Malaga is an ideal starting point for a classical tour of Andalusia. Especially in the winter months you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes and interesting places completely; temperatures are mild, the sun shines warm, but not burning hot. Those who want to see from this country a little more than the beaches on the Costa del Sol, need only a little more than one week, a car and spirit of discovery. We propose here a nice trip:

Arrival is at the international airport in Malaga. For a real vacation, you first have to "arrive"; maybe going for a walk in the area or hit the beach, depending on the weather.
Next day we drive west of Malaga, to Ronda, Arcos and Jerez de la Frontera.

Along the road of the "white villages" you will learn about the unique nature reserves in the region. White houses tightly nestled together, form gorgeous villages along strongly sloping hillsides, surrounded by an incomparable nature. In Ronda you can admire the spectacular gorge of the 100 m high "New Bridge" from the 19th Century. The destination of today´s trip is Jerez de la Frontera, capital of the Sherry.

Next day, do not miss to visit the winery of Williams & Humbert, where you can sample the many varieties of Sherry and the Royal Spanish Riding School, where are trained the pure-bred Spanish horses.

Around noon you travel to Puerto de Santa María, one of the cities with the best fish and seafood specialties. Continue to Cadiz, where the Atlantic is gently lapping on the beaches. In the afternoon drive to the sleepy town of Carmona in Seville. Afterwards drive to Seville, capital of Andalusia.

This dynamic city offers a variety of attractions and a great way to sample the typical tapas. The evening is still young: How about a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride and then have dinner at a local restaurant?

The next day we head towards Cordoba. The highlight of the city of Cordoba is the cathedral mosque, one of the landmarks of Islamic architecture, the Jewish Quarter and the Synagogue of the Middle Ages. At noon, you should not miss to eat in a typical old tavern. In the afternoon you can stroll through the beautiful streets of the city of flowers and enjoy the flair of the city.

The next day we continue to Ubeda, Baeza and Granada. Drive to Granada passing by the two Renaissance cities of Ubeda and Baeza. If you have time, definitely you should stay another day in Granada, as there is so much to see: the Alhambra, the Albaycin and in any case you must try the famous tapas.

From Granada to Malaga it is only 124 kmHealth Fitness Articles, we are thus fast back again at the coast and can enjoy extensively the mild Mediterranean climate; Malaga has as well a lot to offer!
