Simple web designing ideas to make your website successful
During my online journeys I have noticed many websites that look good with a particular browser and a particular screen-resolution; but view it with a different browser, and you can't even read the plain text on the page.
I have jotted down a few points important from the point of view of web designers and am sharing those with my readers.
Here are some handy tips for web designers:-
Use CSS to format your text: Cascading style sheets make you play the designing game in much easier way. Use one style sheet and control how text looks on your entire site. Follow the K.I.S.S. principle: Keep it simple, stupid!
Design Search engine friendly pages: It simply means taking care of the Meta tags and the content with which you want to promote products through your site. Make smart use of the keywords, placing them in ascending order of their priority in Meta tags as well as in content.
Avoid common spammer tactics like grouping keywords at the bottom of your page, or trying to "hide" keywords by making the text the same color as your page's background.
Text size, Text contrast, Text Line Spacing: Text is everything for a website. After all it is only the text that makes people understand what you want them to understand. And to make them understand better and with much interest itís important to use font size big enough to read. Also, the more contrast, the better. Give the lines enough room to breath by keeping decent amount of line spacing.
Easy Navigation: It is the key to lead visitors to make buying decisions while going through your website!† Ensure that visitors can navigate in a much flexible way. Always have a "home page" link on every page and have a "top of page" link at the bottom of every page that is longer than the visitor can see at normal browser settings. Don't send visitors down a blind alley with no obvious way out. Many people will simply exit your site if it is unclear where to go next.
