I wanted to talk to you about intermittent fasting because I believe it is the future of weight loss. There are a lot of fad diets out there and all of them claim to work. The funny thing is that they all play the science card and say that they have the facts on their side. Yet you'll notice that each diet contradicts the next. The problem is that you're being trained to be a consumer. I think all of us recognize the fact that we got overweight in the first place by consuming too much and the solution we're taught is to consume more. They want us to eat every few hours,Intermittent Fasting - The Future of Weight Loss Articles so we're always eating. I'm going to talk to you about a different approach known as intermittent fasting.

I was told all my life that I should be eating smaller meals more often if I want to boost my metabolism and it wasn't until I sat down to look at the facts that I realized this was stupid. Your metabolism comes off as this esoteric item for weight loss, but it's really quite simple. It's a measurement of how much energy (calories) is required to operate all the cells of your body. Your body is going to need about the same amount of calories whether you fast or eat. It's not like your cells cease to exist.

Intermittent fasting is a great way to lose weight because it doesn't lower your metabolism. It stays at the same rate. The interesting thing about the diet is that you don't have to change what you eat. You take a day or two a week to fast and that's it. The rest of the time you can eat like you regularly eat now. Go eat out at a restaurant or have some birthday cake because that's fine. The fasting is where the weight loss comes from.
