Ways to Manage Your Body Weight

Overweight or obesity has become an increasing issue among many individuals. In fact, in many developed countries, this has become serious issues for young children. This article shares some simple and effective ways to control and manage your weight.

Overweight or Obesity has become a serious issues in many individuals. There are many health implications and inconvenience in life style that can be linked directly with over weighted person. Research by Framingham Heart Study found that being overweight at age 40yrs could reduce your life expectancy by three years!

Anyone with Body Mass index (BMI) of 25-30 is considered overweight while obesity is serious overweight with BMI above 30.

There are many factors that can cause overweight with Diet being the most critical cause for overweight or obesity. Even with the widely available of the nutritional guidelines in many countries, it has done very little to address the problem of overeating. Data has shows that the obesity rates in the United States increased from 14.5% to 30.9% in the period of 1971-2000 and increased in consumption of sweetened beverages is believed to be contributing to this rising rate.

To manage your weight gain, or rather to promote weight loss, you need to control your diet. You may want to consider low-fat, low-carbohydrate and low-calorie food. One needs to be determined in controlling your diet as research shows that most people gave up before they achieved their desire result. You should avoid deep fried food and sweetened beverage as much as you can.

Physical exercise. Car will burn fuel when moving while muscles on our body will burn fat during physical exercise. Walking, jogging and cycling are some exercises that you can practice to reduce body fat and they are effective. Coupled with the diet control, physical exercise will increase your chance in securing weight loss.

For severely obese people (BMI>40)Free Web Content, surgery may become one of the treatment option if they failed to lose weight with other methods. Surgery is not recommended for less severe case as every operation may have complications and carries certain level of risk.
