Launched a few years back, the new Apple iPod Classic had created a revolution in the music world. The brand new portable media players baptized as iPod Classic are capable of storing media on an internal hard drive that is also able to act as external data storage devices.The iTunes software launched and marketed by Apple Inc. can support the user in transferring music to the devices. As a part of jukebox application, it is possible by the user to store a music library in the computer of the user by Apple iPod Classic that can play, burn, and rip music from a CD. It is also possible to transfer photos, videos, games, and calendars to those iPod models that support them. Apple mainly focuses its development on the iPods unique user interface and its ease of use, more than on technical capability. Apple iPod Classic like its predecessors has succeeded in making record sales in the electronic market with in a limited period of sale. It created a record by making a sale of 110 million units’ worldwide with in a short period of launching. It is considered as the best selling media player in music history. IPod Classic was a result of Apple's digital hub strategy which came out while creating software for the digital devices like digital cameras, camcorders and organizers. Apple found existing digital music players "big and clunky or small and useless" with user interfaces that were "unbelievably awful. It was then that Apple decided to develop a media player that can substitute the existing music players, bringing a new colour and vigor into it. Apple developed the new iPod Classic with in less than an year. The caption put forward by Apple Inc. was "1000 songs in your pocket," which was accepted widely by the market.
