A number of new Smartphones have recently been released to showcase the new Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system. Amongst them is the HTC 7 Mozart, which is a superb all rounder offering an 8 mega-pixel digital camera, large touchscreen and Wi-Fi Internet browsing.

This sleek and stylish handset looks great and measures 119x 60.2x 11.9 mm whilst weighing in at just 130 g.  Its slimline profile and light weight make it comfortable to hold and use,HTC 7 Mozart - Loaded With Impressive Features Articles easily fitting into a handbag or pocket.  The 3.7 inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen is highly responsive and has virtually zero lag time thanks to a fast 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.  It also does a fantastic job of displaying photos and videos thanks to a pixel resolution of 480x 800, displaying up to 16 million individual colours.  The screen also features both proximity and accelerometer sensors as well as multi-touch input support.

 

Both vibration and ringing are used to alert users to incoming calls and messages, with the luxury of being able to assign MP3 and WAV files as ringtones, allowing users to customise the sound of the phone.  The phone also offers SRS and Dolby Mobile Sound enhancement, along with handsfree capabilities thanks to a built in speakerphone system and 3.5 mm audio jack.  The latter can be used for both handsfree headsets as well as earphones for listening to music via the internal media player.  This versatile media player supports multiple music and video file formats such as MP3 and MP4.  In order to store all the music tracks on the phone, there is a generous 8 GB of on board storage included as standard.  Additional entertainment features include a stereo FM radio player with RDS as well as a selection of pre-installed games.

 

Thanks to both 3G and Wi-Fi, a fast and reliable Internet browsing experience is assured, and the full HTML browser is capable of displaying the best of the web. 3G coverage offers the primary means of connecting to the Internet, by means of an HSDPA connection providing download speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second.  Whenever the handset is in the same proximity as wireless Internet routers, Wi-Fi connectivity offers a faster browsing experience.  GPRS & EDGE keep the HTC 7 Mozart connected to the appropriate cellular networks, whilst micro USB and Bluetooth connections are both installed as standard allowing the handset to be connected to other compatible hardware devices.

 

The HTC 7 Mozart also impresses as a camera phone.  With an 8 mega-pixel digital camera located on the back of the handset, it is capable of taking stunning quality still images thanks to its high pixel resolution of 3264x 2448, in addition to features such as Autofocus and face detection. A Xenon flash is also provided to overcome the lighting conditions, whilst geo-tagging allows users to keep track of where they took their photos, thanks to GPS.  The added bonus of being able to shoot 720p high definition video footage is also included, adding to the versatility of the camera.

 

With an extensive spec list, and impressive aesthetic styling, the HTC 7 Mozart looks set to be a winner, and certainly sets the benchmark for its competitors.
