The HTC Desire HD is a brand new smartphone which features the new Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, a 1 GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera, and super fast internet browsing.

The HTC Desire HD measures 123x 68x 11.8mm making it a slimline handset given its long spec list and it is also light weight at 164 grams. The dimensions of the screen are largely due to the sizeable 4.3 inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen. Wi-Fi offers an impressive browsing experience whenever users have access to local wireless networks.  To connect to the relevant cellular networks, the handset uses GRPS and EDGE, both in call 32 versions. GPS with A-GPs support is provided, which allows features such as the digital compass and Google Maps to function. HTC have also included the “Locations” feature. This downloads entire maps, so users can browse them regardless of signal strength.

 

The powerful 8 megapixel camera provides users with an easy to use yet powerful device, which is great or taking both still images and filming video. Still images are of high quality thanks to the high pixel resolution, whist video footage is captured in 720p high definition. The camera comes with many image enhancing features, such as editing software, autofocus, dual-LED flash, and face detection.
