New Mini HTC Phone Gets Unlocked - HTC HD Mini

The first mini phone from HTC has now been released as a SIM Free handset, the HTC HD Mini is a more compact version of the previous HTC HD2 model and shrinks the main touch screen dimensions down from a massive 4.3 inches to a more manageable 3.2 inches making for a more pocket friendly device.

The new HTC HD Mini has now been made available as a SIM Free handset, this latest HTC phone is completely unlocked to all networks allowing the user to insert their own contract or Pay As You Go SIM card.
The HD Mini is HTC's new shrunken version of their HD2 model which boasts a massive 4.3 inch touch screen, this new 'mini' version scales this down to a more manageable and pocket friendly 3.2 inches whilst keeping the majority of the specifications and features in place.
Still present is the 5 mega pixel camera with autofocus on the back of the phone as is the Windows operating system which is version 6.5.3, HTC Sense is still the user interface of choice whilst GPS with digital compass is still their to aid satellite navigation and turn by turn route finding.
The 1GHz processor of the HD2 has been dropped in favour of a 600MHz model with the smaller screen not demanding as much processing power. The HTC HD Mini also includes HSPDA, WiFi and 3.5G support for fast internet connections and download speeds.
HTC have been busy of late releasing new models although the last two have been Android powered devices as opposed to this latest Windows phone, the HTC Legend and Desire models have just hit the market over the past two weeks and are already setting great sales figures for the manufacturer.
The HTC Legend offers the same 3.2 inch touch screen and 5.0 mega pixel camera but with a slightly different casing design that allows the phone to be placed down flat on its face without the main screen touching the surface using a 'chin' design.
The HTC Desire is a more powerful device utilising the same 1GHz chip as the HD2 model but also with an AMOLED touch screen. Other manufacturers have also been busy releasing new phones with a similar 3.2 inch display, these iunclude the Nokia X6, Sony Ericsson Vivaz and LG GW620.
Other match the new HTC HD Mini camera resolution of 5 mega pixels including the Samsung Wave, Nokia 6700 Slide, Nokia N900 and eco-friendly Sony Ericsson Elm.
