The new Sony Ericsson Vivaz has now been released in a new black colour scheme,Sony Ericsson & Vodafone Release the Sony Ericsson Vivaz in Black Articles the Sony Vivaz Cosmic Black edition joins the original Moon Silver colour variant in being offered as a contract phone on Vodafone. The black Sony Ericsson Vivaz takes the features and design of the previous silver edition and encases them in a new 'all black' finish for a subtle alternative to the bolder colour schemes on many new models.Still to be released is a further Ruby Red edition of the new Vivaz phone which looks set for a Vodafone launch itself very soon, the new black edition is also expected to be be launched on Orange as was the case with the silver model. This latest Sony Ericsson phone offers a unique selling point in allowing for high quality HD video recording at 720p, this combined with an 8.1 mega pixel camera which features geo-tagging, autofocus and photo light makes for a powerful images device and a good upgrade from the previous Sony Ericsson Satio phone. The design of this new handset takes a different stance to the conventional candy bar format by offering an ergonomic curvature to the rear of the phone, this is to make this model more comfortable to hold in conversation and is known as 'human curvature'.The Vivaz does not have a lot of competition in the current market place with only one other model offering HD video capture called the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, however when it comes to the other features of this new Sony Ericsson phone there are a few competitors out there.Offering a similar 3.2 inch touch screen display to the Vivaz, the new Nokia X6 and Nokia N97 Mini are good alternatives, LG have released their new LG Pop which also offers a good sized screen but slightly less mega pixels from its camera at 5.0.Others include the new HTC Desire, Google Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy Portal and from within the manufacturers own ranks the Sony Ericsson X10 which will be their first Android phone. The Sony Vivaz black edition makes for a great addition to the range, those not looking to stand out in a crowd but wanting the latest mobile technology along with carefully thought out design will find this latest imaging phone ticks many of their boxes. As we wait for the Ruby Red edition of this new handset there has also now been a new blue colour variant announced, the new Galaxy Blue editin looks set for launch around the same time as the red model.
