The new Xperia X10 from Sony Ericsson has now been released on O2, consumers can now connect this powerful new Android phone to a range of third party deals on O2.

One the most widely anticipated releases from Sony Ericsson has now been launched,Sony Ericsson X10 Xperia Adds to O2's Portfolio Articles the Sony Ericsson X10 is the first handset from the manufacturer to feature the Android operating system and has now been released on the O2 network.The new X10 is part of the Xperia range of high specification Sony Ericsson phones and offers the most powerful mobile processor currently available at 1GHz, with the Android OS running over the top this makes for an extremely fast and responsive handset.The first thing to strike you when seeing this new phone for the first time has to be the large 4 inch touch screen display on the front of the handset, turn the phone over and on the reverse you will find a high specification 8 mega pixel camera, the highest resolution currently available in any Android based device.Sony Ericsson have included some new applications in their latest Xperia X10 handset, Timescape pulls together all social networking statuses, text messages, tweets and emails from the users contacts list into a continuous stream of information so the user can keep track of conversations with friends as well as their online activity.There have been a number of new Android phone releases of late with the new HTC Legend and Desire handsets appearing just over the last couple of days, competition also comes from the now established Motorola Milestone which offers an extra slide out Qwerty keyboard and the Samsung Galaxy Portal and LG GW620 InTouch Max both of which will appeal to those on a tighter budget looking for a new Android phone.The Sony Ericsson X10 is set to join even more networks over the coming days, initially release don T-Mobile this new phone is also destined for both the Orange and Vodafone networks providing even more competition and therefore more competitive deals for consumers to choose from.There are also another two new models yet to be released from the Xperia range which are due to launch in April this year, both are Android powered devices and offer a smaller footprint to the latest X10 although with very similar features. These are the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro, the latter even manages to squeeze in a physical slide out Qwerty keyboard whilst both take advantage of a new screen set-up with the main navigation shortcuts placed in the corners of the 3.2 inch touch screens.
