The Galaxy Tab By Samsung Is Exceptionally Versatile

Samsung has recently launched a new device, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, powered by the latest Android operating system.  It is an amazing gadget, due to the remarkable and top notch features.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is at the same time a great communication device, an excellent portable web browser, an office productivity tool and a wide-ranging multimedia device.

Its TFT capacitive touch screen measures 7 inch, using a 600x1024 pixel configuration for a display of up to 16M colours. Its incorporated accelerometer makes it perfect for watching pictures and HD video footage. The screen comes along with TouchWiz user interface, proximity sensor and multi touch input method.

The tablet device is 190x120 mm wide, with a slimline of 12 mm, weighting only 380g being extremely portable. Its weight is surprising, especially if we take in account all the included technology.

The standard versions include 16GB or 32 GB of internal memory, combined with 512Mb RAM, depending on the model. The model with 16GB should also be enough to store numerous types of files. Additionally, all models have built-in micro-SD card slot for memory cards of up to 32 GB to store even more files.

Among its best qualities is that you can browse the internet while on the move. The HSDPA connection (in areas with 3G) allows download speeds of up to 7.2 MB per second or with HSUPA connection speeds of 5.76 MB per second. It also has Wi-Fi connection for high speed browsing experience where wireless networks are available. The main difference between its main competitor, the Apple iPad, is that this device is also a mobile phone. Access to cellular networks is provided through GPRS and EDGE. With the included Bluetooth and micro USB connections, users can establish connection with different hardware devices, including computers and mobile phones for such tasks as transferring multimedia files or backing up contact information.

The device features 3.15 megapixel camera at a 2048x1536 pixel resolution.  The digital camera has LED flash and Autofocus, and allows users to shoot video footage. The tablet also features another camera on the front to be used as a video call camera or a web camera.

The device runs on the Android 2.2 operating system, combined with 1 Ghz processor, turning it into a perfect platform for customization and further expansion. It features powerful hardware and software and access to the Android Market, setting almost no limits in terms of versatility, productivity and entertainment.
