A mobile phone giant Nokia has recently announced the release of a number of new handsets. These include the C6 which is arguably one of the most exciting releases from the manufacturer for a long time. Not only does it offer functionality the rivals that of many Smartphones which are currently available, but it also offers aesthetic appeal to style conscious users who also view their mobile phone as a fashion statement.

In order to store a good number of files such as music tracks,The Nokia C6 Is An Impressive New Mobile Articles video clips or photos 240 MB of internal storage is provided.  A micro SD slot also features a pre-installed 2 GB memory card for the same purpose, however this can be upgraded to a memory card of up to 16 GB should further storage be required.  The internal phonebook can store a seemingly endless number of contacts and includes the popular Photocall feature.

 

The 3.2 inch TFT resistive touch screen can display up to 16M colours within a pixel setup of 360x 640 pixels, resulting in excellent display quality of on screen imagery.  A slide out QWERTY keyboard offers an efficient means of entering text for those who prefer a physical keyboard to a touchscreen keyboard.  An accelerometer sensor is also built in which allows the onscreen content to automatically rotate based upon the orientation of the phone.

 

The Nokia C6 is equipped with a five mega pixel digital camera.  The resulting images are of very high quality thanks to a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels.  A number of image enhancing features are included within the cameras software package including Autofocus, LED flash, face & smile detection along with geo-tagging which utilises GPS to record the location at which a photo was taken.  The camera can also shoot video, and this is in VGA quality at a rate of 30 frames per second.  Secondary video recording is in QVGA quality.

 

The dimensions of the Nokia C6 are 113x 53x 16.8 mm whilst it weighs in at just 150 g.  Its relatively compact dimensions and light weight make it a pocket friendly handset and is also ideally proportioned for comfort of use with two hands whilst using the quirky keyboard, or with one hand when operating the touch screen.

 

The Nokia C6 boasts a high level of everyday functionality thanks to an extensive list of additional applications and features.  Entertainment wise, there is a versatile internal media player which supports many different formats of both music and video files, a stereo FM radio player and a selection of pre-installed games (along with a selection of extra downloadable games).  For productivity purposes, a document viewer is included which is compatible with a number of different Microsoft Office documents, were offering appeal to business users who can remain productive whilst out of the office.  Several instant messaging functions are included such as yahoo messenger, Google talk and windows live messenger.

 

Class 32 versions of both EDGE & GPRS connect the Nokia C6 to cellular networks.  Connections to the Internet are provided via HSDPA in areas covered by 3G, and Wi-Fi whenever a signal is detected from a wireless Internet router.

 

Available in both black and white, the Nokia C6 is an aesthetically pleasing combination of style and substance and that ticks all the boxes ensuring success upon its upcoming release.
