As mentioned, the N8 and includes a hugely impressive 12 mega pixel digital camera.  The pixel resolution of 4000x3000 means this can take is still images with an amazingly high level of detail and quality, results which could rival many expensive standalone cameras.  As you may expect, a selection of image enhancing features is included within the cameras software package.  These include Autofocus, Xenon flash and face and smile detection, making it relatively simple to get great results from your photos.  The camera can shoot video also, and in 720p quality at a rate of 25 frames per second.

The versatile internal media player supports many different types of both video and music file formats such as MP3 and MP4.  A radio player and a choice of pre-installed games (along with access to a library of extra downloadable games) are provided to keep users entertained.  A document viewer, which is compatible with Microsoft office files and PDF documents, is sure to prove handy to business users when out of the office.

A very respectable 16 GB of internal storage is provided which can accommodate a huge number of files such as music tracks, video clips or photos.  A micro SD slot is provided for the same purpose and can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB.

Class 32 versions of both GPRS and EDGE provide the N8 with its primary means of connecting to cellular networks.  In areas where 3G coverage is available, an Internet connection is available via HSDPA at speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second (along with HSUPA at 2 mega bytes per second).  Wi-Fi Technology provides a faster connection whenever it senses is the presence of a wireless Internet router, therefore providing an enhanced web browsing experience.
