•         Usually, players discard their high-value cards during their initial moves to reduce the burden of points in case an opponent shows before they do. However, if your opponent picks up your discarded high-value card, chances are that he/she has already formed a sequence or set. Your discarded high-value card now has served the purpose of baiting your opponent. If your opponent picks your discarded Q♥, you can easily predict that he/she has already formed a set of Qs or a sequence of K♥ Q♥ J♥, Q♥ J♥ 10♥ or A♥ K♥ Q♥. So, don’t discard any card close to Q♥ like K♥, J♥, 10♥ and A♥ to allow your opponent continue his/her sequence. Doing so will help your opponent finish the game in a few moves.
•         Rummy is entirely a game of points. So, if you lose, you should make sure that you lose with a minimum number of points to reduce your losing amount. Try to discard the cards with higher points like Ace, King, Queen, and Jack and arrange your cards into sequences and sets if your opponents declare the game first.
