Playing sports is not only fun,3 Sports for Exercise Articles but it is a good source of exercise. If you are sick of heading to the gym and doing the same old routine over and over, here are 3 sports that you should consider playing to get your workout and have fun at the same time:

 

1.  Soccer- Soccer is not only one of the most popular sports in the world, it is also one of the best sources of energy that you can get. If you want something that will test your endurance and is still fun at the same time, then you should try your hand at soccer. The sport requires years of training and practice in order to play at a professional level, but there is no reason why you can’t still have fun even without extensive training. With soccer the game is played in two halves that are both 45 minutes long, which means that you will spend a considerable amount of time running on the field.

2.  Frisbee- Since you need a large open area to play Frisbee, there is usually a lot of running involved. If you want to get the most exercise possible, then you should consider playing a game of Ultimate Frisbee. This game will require you to run the field chasing after the Frisbee and working hard not to let it hit the ground. You’ll also be required to do lots of jumping and even diving to make some of the plays. An hour of two of Ultimate Frisbee in most cases will leave you feeling like you’ve done more work than if you had gone to the gym. If you aren’t a believer then find a local field and get some of your friends together to try a game. You’d be surprised at how much energy it takes.

3.  Basketball- If you’ve ever watched a professional basketball game then you’ve seen just how much the athletes sweat when the camera zooms in. For some serious cardio work, basketball is one of the best sports out there. If you want to make sure that the other team doesn’t score on you too easily you are going to have to run back as soon as you make a shot or turn the ball over. Basketball is a game of streaks as well so you better be ready to muster up some extra energy at a moments notice. If you want to get some good exercise then you should head to the gym and play some basketball with the other gym members.

 

If you haven’t had a good fun workout in a while, then you should give one of the sports listed above a shot.
