The search for that base workout program is definitely an elusive one.

Many fitness enthusiasts or people just getting into fitness,Why You Shouldn’t Do George St. Pierre’s RushFit Year Round Articles are looking for that core workout program that you  can do basically year round as what I call the base workout  program. I am no different.

I like the security of being able to push play (or not) and do a routine that does the job. We want it to be quick and we want it to be effective. On the surface, George St. Pierre’s RushFit seems like a great candidate. It is only 8 weeks and requires about 40 minutes a day of total effort. It is a total body work out which helps you lose weight and get ripped through the effective use of weights and high intensity cardio using large muscle groups.

Plus George St. Pierre’s RushFit has a comprehensive and based on reviews, an effective nutrition program that will keep you eating right and maintaining your ideal weight.  This alone makes the program strong, just as it did the same for P90X.  The answer  on my end, despite all the positives is that George St. Pierre’s RushFitis not a good choice for a year round workout regimen.  My reason is simple, I don’t think it is necessary or even advisable to do any structured program year round. My preference is you take the understandings of what makes a good nutrition and work out program and simply look for different vehicles to meet those objectives.

There are two major reasons I advocate this approach. First, doing the same thing over and over again in exercise  lends itself to an evil occurrence which I call plateauing. Actually I don’t call it that at all. Exercise sciences who are way smarter than me have been calling it that for decades. Your body easily adapts to any workout if you continue to do it over and over again. The body thrives on structure and change for best results. If you leave out the change, you end up getting less and less return on your work input. Work out is called “work” for a reason. We don’t want to be doing it just to do it. We deserve the best outcomes we can get. The second major reason we want to avoid having a base go to year round workout is we will eventually get bored. When we get bored we stop.
