Veg Pulao is a very popular pulao recipe. To make veg pulao we use fresh carrot, peas and some spices. You can add more vegetables to it as per your taste. The use of some dry spices or herbs makes this recipe so much aromatic and tasty.

INGREDIENTS OF VEG PULAO RECIPE

Rice – 300 GM

Carrot sticks – 2 cups

Peas – 1 cup

Onion slice – 1 cup

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp

Black cardamom (Bari elaichi) – 2

Cinnamon stick (dalchini) – 1 big

Clove (long) – 6

Bay leaf (tej pata) – 1 big

Water – 300 ml

Ghee/ Oil – ¾ cup

Salt – ¾ tsp  

 

At first wash the rice and drain its water properly. Keep it aside. Now in a pressure cooker,Veg Pulao Articles pour ghee and heat it. Add all the dry spices to it and make all spices a little bit brown. Now add sliced onion to it and fry it till it starts becoming brown. Now add carrot and peas to it and fry it on the high flame to one minute. Cover it while frying. Now add ginger garlic paste and salt to it and fry it on the low flame for one minute. While frying it, cover it with the lid. Now add washed rice to it and fry it one the medium flame for 3-4 minutes or till rice starts looking free. Reduce the flame to low and pour water into it. Stir it and fix the cooker lid. Turn flame to high and after one whistle cook it on the low flame for 5 minutes, switch off the flame and let the cooker cool itself. Your Veg Pulao in Pressure Cooker is ready to serve. Serve it with whatever you want.
