Small amounts of red wine, such as one glass per day, may decrease by thirty percent the risk to suffer from cardiac disease for adults, increase the levels of good cholesterol, the HDL cholesterol, and prevent the increase of the bad cholesterol, the LDL cholesterol, according to studies.

It was showed that in the Mediterranean region,Red Wine: Myth or Elixir? Articles where large amounts of wine are produced and consumed, the number of people who suffer from cardiovascular disease is much smaller compared to other regions.A study conducted in Spain during a year involved 4,000 volunteers and analyzed the effect of beer, red wine, and other alcoholic beverages on someone`s immune system.
