Living in this age of Science and Technology, Science also claimed to explain the reasons behind a man's infidelity. William J. does not agree. There are things that science can't explain when it comes to men behaving badly.

If a marriage is about to collapse due to the middle-aged man having an affair, have you analysed your man and his reasons behind this affair?

The "scientific" reasons are;

Lifecycle of Men: By gaining significant amount of money and status in a later stage of his life and he starts realising that young and attractive women are paying attention to him. The nature of life; The dominance and power that a male has gained shall end up attracting females.
Lifecycle of Women: His wife on the other hand started her menopause; again it is the biology an inevitable lifecycle for women. A male always seek mating to continue his legacy drives him towards women who are fertile.

These reasons were actually stated as scientific research results elsewhere.

It is true that we share this planet with the rest of the creatures of this world. Furthermore, human population is insignificant compared to some other creatures, such as Planktons. But we clearly established in the past 5000 Years that Human Beings are different; we are social creatures with Intelligence. I am not against science or scientific research but I am not happy science is trying to explain the reasons behind a mid-aged man's infidelity. It sounds like the research was conducted by a boys club.

The real reason for infidelity of men on the other hand is rather simple; one needs to look at the phsychology and the real mental age of the man in question.

Here are my non-scientific reasons, or rather widely known reasons of men's infidelity;

Boredom, no joy in sex life everything is routine.
Man's incompetence and searching to prove himself with multiple women to hear "Honey you were great!"
Not being appreciated by his partner in the relationship.

The list possibly goes on; each affair committed by men is unique and need to be looked at case-by-case basis. The worst thing that anyone could do is to stereotype. If a man already made his move to unchartered waters how it could be possible to explain his reasons with science? Let's use our Intelligence and analyse our relationship and find out.
