It is fast in setting and it works great. The night vision is also excellent. It is very clear. The image is sharp and clear in colors. It is as good as $1500 versions camera price. There are things you need to know before you consider to buy. Firstly, Why buy the Weatherproof Night Vision PTZ camera Articles it need to use the 3-5 amp power supply included with the camera. This Weatherproof Night Vision PTZ camera pulls more amps than the 'normal' CCTV cameras. If you have a 12v system and the existing cameras only pull 1/2 -1 amp each. Your Altronix power supply box which had 4 other cameras attached with it. It has rated 5 amps total that was not enough. RS485 is the control for the pan-tilt-zoom. You can use existing connecters if your premade cable has them. You also can run 20 gauge wire and connect it to the back of the DVR. The DVR is Q-See and there is only 1 place to connect RS485. The defaults were Pelco-D, 2400 Baud, databit=8, stopbit=1, parity=none, address=1. The 'address' set on the dips on the camera must match the 'address' setting on the DVR for that camera. You have an 8 camera DVR. You connect the video cable for this camera to channel 4. This insures the 'address' setting is correct ('001') under 'channel 4' in the Weatherproof Night Vision PTZ camera setup on the Weatherproof Night Vision PTZ camera . Make sure no other channels have '001' for the address or the RS485 will be confused. Each PTZ camera needs to have it's own unique 'address'. You post a picture of 'channel 4' settings.
