I was a complete SEO dummy when I started in Internet marketing a couple of years ago, however I quickly managed to get top rankings for every single of my websites. What is amazing is that I achieved some incredible results with very little work. When I first started, I was like everybody, struggling to find a new niche. And as you probably guessed, I made what many call a big mistake. Do you want to know what I did?

What is amazing is that I achieved some incredible results with very little work. When I first started, I was like everybody, struggling to find a new niche. And as you probably guessed, I made what many call a big mistake.

Do you want to know what I did?

I started to promote in the Internet marketing niche while I only had little experience. Now, I am making a living online, with article marketing and search engine optimization as my main traffic generation methods.

So how I did it

Let me show you the exact steps I followed to get multiple first rankings for my websites.

1. Writing and submitting articles

I wrote articles (like this one), with links to my home page and internal pages.

2. Adding the proper titles and meta tags

I also made sure to have the proper title on every single page of my websites. If I targeted the keyword "website traffic tips", for example, I would write it several times on my web pages, and add the title in the meta tags.

3. Getting link from directories

I make sure that I get backlinks from web directories with at least a page rank of three.

4. Getting links from web 20 sites

I wrote articles to sites like blogger.com and squidoo.com. Search engines like Google love these sites.

5. Adding new and original content to my site

I update my site regularly, and hence, both visitors and search engines like it.
