What do you have to do to get "The Secret" and "Law of Attractrion" to work for you?

I was travelling on Singapore Airlines recently and one the great things that they provide is a fully passenger-controllable in-flight film system. This is great if you are on short flights,Living With Abundance and The Law Of Attraction – Part 3 Articles so I watched half the film on the outbound sector and fast-forwarded through the part that I had already seen and finished the rest of the film on the return journey.

What was the film?

Rocky Balboa - I was surprised too that I chose to watch this, however, I had read a quick review on IMDB.Com or somewhere similar that said it was surprisingly good even though you knew what was going to happen, who was going to do it and when. So what is left to enjoy? The execution of the plot and the portrayal and that I did not have to think at all and it was short enough for me to finish it by the end of my return journey - isn't it frustrating to miss the end of a film?

Sometimes, inspirational thoughts come from the most surprising places!

So what is the point in the film that I wish to highlight?

Rocky was talking to his son who was having doubts about his self-worth and ability to succeed in his father's limelight, and Rocky said something along the lines of: It is not that you get hit in life because you will be hit in life. Because you will always be hit in some way at some time. It is how hard you can be hit and how often you can be hit. AND. HOW MUCH YOU CAN KEEP GOING FORWARD TO YOUR DESIRED OUTCOME!

What has this got to do with the "The Secret" and "The Law of Attraction"?

Do people somehow manifest life hitting them?

Most of the time – Absolutely not!

Part of my ability to succeed despite the above is based upon preparation. There are two definitions I love. One is from the golfer Gary Player: "The harder I practise, the luckier I get". The other is from Anthony Robbins: "Luck is where Preparation meets Opportunity. Without Preparation, even with the right Opportunity, there is no ‘luck' because the Opportunity cannot be taken advantage of and used".

So, the "Law of Attraction" to me is best summarized as:

Think well of both yourself and others and take action to prepare yourself for that ‘lucky' event that you may attract to yourself.

Good luck and Good Thoughts!
