What Are 3D Active Glasses For Children

3D glasses are an essential part of enjoying the total 3D experience at home. If you are about to get a 3D HDTV, you must think of your children too, as they will need a pair of 3D active glasses too for themselves.
There are couples of reasons why they need special 3D glasses and can’t use the adults’ size 3D glasses. Read this and think for your self, should you buy them 3D glasses?

If you follow the new movie releases, you may have noticed that many of them are 3D movies coming out to the theaters, and then they will show up soon enough at your 3D home theater or 3d game console. Be sure your children will want to watch them at home or play with them too.

How do 3D active glasses work? When you watch 3D at home, the 3D HDTV will be displaying double images one after another at high speeds. Those images will be two separate images each intending to a different eye (one image to the left eye, and one to the right eye). Those images will be sown 25-60 times a second.
In order for the brain to catch the 3D image, each eye must ‘see’ only the image sent for it. This is where the active shutter glasses come in – They close and open like ‘shutters’ and by that they distribute the images left/right accordingly with the images shown on the 3D HDTV.

If the images are transferred to the brain clearly, or the line of sight HDTV-3Dglasses-Eyes is not direct, then the 3D effect will be damaged and will not be seen clearly.
There are number of reasons why they need children size 3D active shutter glasses, the main reason is the simple fact that in order for children to ENJOY the 3D HDTV they must wear a smaller size 3D active shutter glasses.

If the 3D glasses are not fitting well on the children’s face then a major part of the 3D effect will get lost. Not only they will not enjoy 3D but they may also get dizzy trying to follow the fast flickering with 3D glasses that do not fit their smaller face size. You certainly do not want your children getting dizzy from hours of 3D watching with 3D glasses that do not fit well!

3D Glasses will be used for 3D gaming too. If they use your adults 3D glasses, two things may happen and both are unwanted.
The first is that they will not be able to see the 3D effect clearly, just as watching the 3D movie with glasses that do not fit them, and may get dizzy.
Second reason is that unlike the adults, when children play the 3D console games, they move around much more, jump around play with their whole body… 3D glasses which are larger than heir face will fall off and may break!

Now those are not the $1 paper red/blue paper glasses... Your adults’ 3D active glasses may cost over $100! So children will need their own size of 3D glasses, to watch and fully grasp the thrill of 3D at home!
There are couples of types of 3D glasses – Battery operated, Rechargeable, and others – make sure you read some more before you buy 3D children’s size active glasses.
