Why did I chose Homeopathic HCG?
I have always been looking at different types of diets,HCG Diet Review, My Personal Experience with the HCG Diet Articles especially after my son was born.  I was looking for away to drop the baby-weight that I had gained.  I was worried about taking anything that helped accelerate weight loss, especially with the recalls and complications caused by several diet pills on the market. I wanted something that was going to be safe for me and my child who was still nursing.  I had heard about using the pregnancy hormone HCG to lose weight using DR. Simon's protocol, then I found that it was available in homeopathic form.  Being involved in homeopathy myself, this seemed like  a perfect match.

What to expect with the HCG Diet

Phase 1: Fill yourself up!
You first start out with 3 loading days.  These days require that you eat high fat foods while taking the homeopathic drops.  You will gain some weight, but don't get too discouraged I lost that weight pretty quickly, and so will you.  By day 3 I was ready to stop gorging myself because I found I was getting full pretty quickly..

Phase 2: The diet begins
On day 4 you will start day 1 of phase two, this is when the diet kicks into gear.  It's time to start the 500 calorie diet.  When I was researching the HCG diet, I thought that it would be pretty hard to stick with a 500 calorie a day diet, so I was a little apprehensive about the whole thing.  Once I started phase 2 though, I wasn't really hungry at all, and it was actually pretty easy to stick with the diet.  It was even easier because every day the number on the scale was smaller.  At the end of the 21 day cycle I had lost 30 lbs.  I also noticed that I had increased energy.

When on phase 2 I really didn't feel like cheating, but there were a few times that I did.  If I ate something that was off of the diet I found that my weight loss was very little for the next day. It's pretty important that you stick with the diet and don't stray or it will be easy to get discouraged.

You may also notice that for the first 3-5 days on phase 2 you are hungry, this is normal for some people. This is your body starting to adjust to the HCG and the switchover to metabolizing fat in yoru body.

Phase 3: Reset period
Phase 3 is where you wean yourself off of the HCG drops.  You will be following a 21 day no carbohydrates no sugar protocol.  This is designed to reset your metabolism, and bring it back down to stable levels, and prevent overeating.  During phase 3 you will probably not lose any weight, but you should also not gain any weight.

Overall Impression:
I found that the HCG diet was a great way to lose weight quickly.  I also found that I was able to keep the weight off after the 40 or so days that are required.  There were times that the food started to get boring, but after finding a few recipes I was able to spice things up a little bit.  If you wan to lose weight, and stay away from frozen meals, or counting points for the rest of your life, I'd say give the HCG diet a try.

As always make sure to talk to your physician before starting any weight loss, diet, or exercise plan.
