Psychological Tips to Start Losing Weight Fast

Do you know why you're still fat? Have you tried diets before? They probably failed you like they do most everyone else. Diets fail for a number of reasons, but that's not what we're going to get into today. Let's go over some things that will actually work for you. Some wisdom I want to impart to you as a previously overweight person.

Let's look at this from a psychological standpoint. Diets are work. The results are so slow that they feel like you're not getting anything in return for your hard work.

You become stressed. Stressed people have less will power. Everything adds up and the diet fails you.

So first, I want to let you in on a secret. Don't jump into the water. Put your toe in. Then your foot. Then up to your knee.

It's better than being dry, right? That's what I thought. :)

Also, another thing that will really help you is to try adding food rather than cutting food out. Try to add an apple and a banana to your list of food you eat for the day. Naturally, by eating this healthier food, you're going to be less hungry and thus, eat less unhealthy food throughout the course of the day.

You're going to lose weight with very minimal effort like this. It honestly won't even feel like a diet.

When you're happy with what you're eating, and it doesn't feel like a diet, is when you're not going to have to cheat constantly until you've basically given up the entire diet.

The next thing to give a shot at is giving yourself a reason. Why do you want to lose weight?

Health reasons?

Missing out on your childrens childhood?

Missing out on your own life?

Not feeling very good?

Now whatever the reason, find a way to remind yourself of it constantly. Guys, put a note in your wallet. Ladies, pin something annoying on to your bra strap.

Those are just ideas. :) Personally, I shaved my head in the winter. Every time I took off my beanie hat I was reminded that I had a goal that I hadto reach.

I found it so much easier to pass on tasty food and go for the healthy alternatives.

So I've found that the biggest thing that stops people is actually taking action. Everyone says they want to lose weight. Everyone finds a way to lose weight and then only give it a half hearted attempt.
