The Most Important Meal to Lose Weight

Eating a good breakfast can go a long way towards helping you lose weight, though not for the reasons you might think.

This is the sixth article in a series of fast fat burning tips.  As the age old saying goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, though not necessarily for the reasons you might think.  A lot of people have this idea that if they start skipping meals, or practically stop eating all together, that they are going to lose a bunch of weight very quickly.  This method, which is most often referred to as crash dieting, is a flawed way to lose weight for several reasons.  When you eat very little, or don't eat at all, your body does the exact opposite of what you would expect it to.  It actually preserves its fat stores and starts burning lean muscle tissue.  As a result, not only will you not lose weight, but you'll start losing muscle.  Since neither of those outcomes is good for your body, you should try and stay away from crash dieting methods.

So what does breakfast have to do with fast fat burning?  Skipping the most important meal of the day can have just as harmful an effect on your body as crash dieting.  When you don't eat breakfast, your metabolism has no reason to speed up, and thus remains at a very slow rate.  But by eating breakfast, as well as other small meals during the day, you will keep your metabolism at a high rateArticle Search, helping you burn calories all day long. Try eating a number of small meals during the day as opposed to three large meals with a lot of time in between; this will help your metabolism remain in high gear throughout the day.
